service worker, are you tried and true

(NB: I posted this through the CMS and I don't see it anywhere. This version is typed straight into VS Code.)

Lost most of the day yesterday fighting with Apache/httpd. I thought it was blocking one of the routes on a new site. I tested a hundred variations on Redirect and RewriteRule, trying to get the route to pass thru to the backend logic.

This morning the obvious stone fell from the sky and cracked my timbers; it wasn't Apache, it was my JS serviceworker. I'd forgot the custom bit that whitelists a particular authentication route that can't be cached along with the rest of the app...
